The First Year Design Challenge for Spectrum 2019 is an event that provides first-year engineering students with an opportunity to apply their engineering skills and knowledge in a fun and creative way. In this challenge, groups of 4 will be given a problem, and must work collaboratively to design and build a solution to this problem using a variety of materials. Groups must then present and test their solutions which will be judged based on effectiveness and creativity.
The prize for 1st Place is $1000!
So get together with your friends and register your own team for this awesome day of design and fun! Snacks and a meal will also be provided at the event.
Registration is $40 per group which will have to be paid before December 1st to secure your group's spot. A confirmation email will be sent group members' usask emails containing information about payment within a few days of registration.
